The Cause:
Since 2001, the Gala Event has raised over $450,000 to support health care at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital. This year proceeds will help purchase medical equipment and technology for our hospital, such as a low temperature sterilizer for our Sterile Processing Department and patient monitors for our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

We have worked hard over the years to establish our hospital as a centre of excellence in patient care; a place you can confidently turn to when your loved ones have an illness or medical emergency. With your support we were able to build the Community Tower, which has enabled us to serve more patients and communities across the region.

While the recent redevelopment has transformed our facility, there are still significant unmet needs that must be addressed in order for OSMH to serve the community effectively. These include equipment for specialized services and an investment in some of our most important resources – the health care professionals to whom we turn in times of need.

With over 110 items valued at over $10 million, we need your help. Government funding does not cover equipment and technology purchases or upgrades. With your support we can ensure that our staff and physicians continue to provide high quality health care to our community.
