Barrie Out of the Cold was established in 1998 with an aim to provide a safe, respectful and welcoming place to stay overnight. Since 2001, Barrie Out of the Cold has been able to provide shelter seven day a week during the coldest months of the year. Barrie Out of the Cold provides guests with a hot dinner, breakfast and a place to sleep from mid November until the end of April, with the support of volunteers and six host churches.
